In A Moment My Life Was Changed
I have believed in God since I was a young girl. My sister took us to church, with a promise of a donut, and that’s where I learned about God and started believing in Him. But once I was filled with the Holy Spirit I could now feel God and I knew He was real. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues has changed my life forever. It was the best day of my life - it was the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I remember that night so well. I was 16 and at church when a group of strong Christian friends gathered around me and were praying that I would be filled with the Holy Spirit. It was so refreshing and I felt so much power surging through me. I was inspired and filled with hope. Shame and strongholds were broken off my life. The Holy Spirit came upon me and filled me with His presence and I began speaking in a language I had never learned. It was a miracle!The Holy Spirit was in me praying through me. Being filled with the power of God completely changed me. I now knew my future. I had a new understanding of the scriptures. I headed off to Bible College hungry for God and a desire to do something great for Him! One of the scriptures I love about The Holy Spirit is in John 14:16-17:26 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth...The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.”The instant I received the Holy Spirit I had a witness inside me revealing God and I knew there was a God!I would love to hear your story about getting filled with The Holy Spirit and how it changed your life.
