4 Ways To Gain Power - Part 3

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

As Christians, we receive power from God. God’s power brings so many amazing things into our lives. Power to be healed, strengthened, knowing the purpose, redeemed, prosperous, protected, freedom, signs and wonders, feel God’s presence, power to pray, miracles, dreams, visions, supernatural occurrences, hear God’s voice, the power to obey, delivering you from the enemies plan for destruction against you and your family, power to be a witness to others and many more things. God promises to give us his mindboggling power. But how can we gain this power?

Four Ways to Gain Power

1: Get close to Jesus who has all power, and then you will experience power.

2: Learn all you can about His power at work in you through reading His Word.

3. Receive the Holy Spirit and His Power

Acts 1:8 You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

The same Holy Spirit that dwells in Jesus and gave Him power, will dwell in us and gives us power. One of the greatest experiences in life is receiving the Holy Spirit and your prayer language. It is called being baptized in the Holy Spirit. When you get filled with the Holy Spirit you feel His presence and power in you.

Read the scriptures about the promises of the Holy Spirit:

  • Romans 8:11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.

  • Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high

  • Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  • Acts 1:5 … John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

  • Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

  • Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us

  • Romans 8:26 … For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

How to be filled with the Holy Spirit and His power.

You can have the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in you, aiding, favoring, and delivering you. It is so simple to receive God’s power by inviting the Holy Spirit to fill you.

Pray: Jesus I ask you to forgive me of my mistakes and sins? I believe you are God and I receive you as the Lord of my life. Holy Spirit I now ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me the gift of speaking in my heavenly prayer language. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to pray in my new prayer language bringing me peace, joy, and comfort. Amen

We love you and we will be praying for you. We would love to hear where you are in your relationship with the Holy Spirit?
