This Is How I Was Miraculously Healed

8 years ago I went to a general check-up, the doctor did an ultrasound and saw that in my womb I had a cyst, and that I had to be operated. The moment she gave me the news, I felt a knot in my stomach and thoughts of fear at the possibility of cancer overwhelmed me, my mother passed away when I was in my twenties from cancer. But at that moment I prayed in my mind to God and asked him to help me so I wouldn’t succumb to the fear. I felt the presence of God surrounding me with love and infusing me with his peace, and I decided that I was not going to allow any negative thoughts to enter my mind.

I felt I was living a healthy life and there was no need to worry, and when fear tried to creep in I prayed and declared the word of God over my life such as: Matthew 8:17 “...He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” and 1 John 4: 17-18 “in love there is no fear but perfect love casts out fear”. I would declare the perfect love of God is in me, I don’t have to fear. I would speak out loud Psalms 91:2-4 over me, “This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” These verses helped me visualize myself embracing Jesus and his arms around me and this calmed my anguish.

I also shared the news about the upcoming surgery with my prayer group friends and they kept me in their prayers and believed with me that everything would go smoothly.

The day of the operation I had perfect peace, trusting that God was going to direct the procedure. The doctor had assured me that the surgery was a very simple process, that it was going to be done via laparoscopy and so the recovery would be very fast. When the doctor began the surgery and looked through the camera she did not like what she saw. The cyst was bigger than she had thought, it was not in the womb, and the color was alarming. At that she decided to send a sample to the lab to get a biopsy done, while she waited to get the results she proceded to do a c-section to open and see more clearly how much she had to remove from my body.

Before doing the c-section, the doctor went out to speak with my husband and informed him about the situation, it was most likely going to be cancer. As soon as he heard the news my husband called our pastors, my prayer group friends and relatives so in a matter of minutes a chain of prayer and intercession for my life arose. The doctor began the c-section and began to remove the cyst and my womb, in the meantime the result of the biopsy arrived and it came out that it was a benign tumor and that there was no cancer in my body!

For me it was a miracle, the enemy wanted to attack me while I was sleeping but God raised a barrier of protection around my life with the prayers of those who surrounded me and canceled all diagnoses that doctor had predicted. One of my friends who was praying for me at that time felt that a generational curse of Cancer that was in my family was broken.

The most wonderful thing for me is that in the midst of this situation I was not aware of anything because I was asleep, with perfect peace, I did not suffer, I was not scared, my recovery was fast and without major complications.

In conclusion, what prepared me for this surgery was undoubtedly prayer, declaring the word of God over my life, believing his promises of healing, and having been surrounded by people of faith who joined me to pray and believe for my healing.
