Positive Words Brought Me A Powerful Healing

I was 20 weeks pregnant when I went in for a routine ultrasound. This was supposed to be a happy day. This was supposed to be the day we found out whether we were having a baby boy or girl! Instead, I received news that something was terribly wrong. The ultrasound technician informed me that I had a condition called “placenta previa.” When my doctor saw me, she explained that a C-section was inevitable and there was a chance I could hemorrhage during birth.

I had waited a long time for this baby. In fact, God had given me dreams about this baby for years. When I received the placenta previa diagnosis, I remember thinking, “this baby is a gift from God and God doesn’t give defective gifts.” I’m so glad the holy- spirit reminded me of this! Thank God for Pastor Tami and a community of women who had taught me to fight with the word of God! I was filled with so much faith to believe for a powerful healing and I decided I was going to speak words of faith. Proverbs 18:21 teaches us “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.”

During the next several months I made it a point to only speak healing word over my body. When my family brought up the diagnosis I would say, “God is going to heal me, so we don’t have to worry about it.” During my visits to the doctor, I would say to her “check my placenta again, because God is going to heal me!” I remember thinking about how God always keeps his promises and that his word overrides a diagnosis. Psalm 30:2 says, O Lord, my healing God, I cried out for a miracle and you healed me! This verse gave me confidence to believe for the impossible because God is a man of his word!

One month before my due date God kept his promise! I went in for another routine ultrasound except this time I heard good news! My doctor smiled at me and said, “you are cleared for a natural child birth, your placenta has moved!” On April 22, 2015 my health baby boy was born, the word of God never disappoints!
