Living Happy - Part 2
Jesus tells us that we can have a positive, happy, and blessed life. In the Beatitude sermon (one of the greatest sermons) Jesus gives us nine keys to access peace, joy, and a lifetime of fulfillment. We are in part two of our three-part series of Living Happy. Today my husband wanted to go out for breakfast. I thought it would be fun if we invited some friends to come with us because time with our friends restores me. My husband actually wanted just the two of us to go because he needed time to refresh from work. It started an intense discussion and in the end, the two of us went together. I felt slighted and without much thought, I subconsciously ended up falling dead silent. After awhile I asked my husband to forgive me because God was ASKING ME TO BE MERCIFUL. It is hard doing the right thing but I want to be happy and blessed. I am trying to obey the beatitudes no matter how I feel in the moment because I know in the end I will be favored, happy and blessed.Just like me, God designed YOU to overcome every difficulty. You can be triumphant. You have the power of the Holy Spirit working in you.The Holy Spirit is working through you with miraculous and supernatural ability. You are talented and strong.Nothing can defeat you.Tell your circumstances right now, "YES, I CAN!"Whatever is working against you, trying to defeat you, belittle you or just telling you that you can’t do it - speak up with boldness and say, "Yes, I can… through Jesus! YES, I CAN DO IT! Yes, I can forgive, show love, and honor Jesus. I will live an upgraded, positive, and Spirit-filled life. I can be happy, successful and live a life of favor!"God has given us everything we need for the abundant life. Let's go back to the Beatitude Sermon (or what I like to call it, "How to be Successful and Happy Sermon"). Here are three more happy principles to live by (you can read the first three points here):
4) Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful.
My Learning Thought: If we quickly and easily forgive people who offend us we will behappy, ecstatic and overjoyed. She who quickly and easily forgives others is seen as a merciful, kindhearted, compassionate, gracious, and understanding woman. My Prayer: Thank you Jesus for forgiving me of all my mistakes quickly and easily! Idesire to be like you and I will forgive others freely. I forgive people today. Holy Spiritremind me of anyone I need to forgive? I pray my friends and family would see me as a forgiving, merciful and filled with kindness.
5) Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart.
My Learning Thought: I am happier when my thoughts are positive. Believing God willdo great things for me. The person with a pure heart is always a positive thinker. A positive thinker only allows affirming, cheering and confident thoughts to control her feelings. She understands her thoughts are powerful and must carry her to her destiny. Our thoughts become our feelings and our feelings become our actions. Your thoughts and feelings control your happiness and your future. My Prayer: I am blessed because I am positive thinker. I declare that I will see God do greatthings for me. I will live a victorious, overcoming, and blessed life. I am a godly womenwho has a powerful God making a pathway of success for me. I understand my thoughtsand feelings control my future. I can control my thoughts. I am happy and thankful inevery circumstances.Be a Women of Positive Prayer:
- Start your prayer with, “I believe God will do this …”
- Always intertwine a scripture to your prayer, “I declare the Word of God…”
- Give a detailed end goal. That way you and God will know when you have crossed the finished line.
- End with thanking God for the answer before you have it.
6) Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers.
My Learning Thought: Happiness and favor comes from all directions, family, friends and strangers to those women who are mediating for peace. A peacemaker is a women who calms a situation or disagreement. She never incites a riot between two people. She is a master mediator, a brilliant negotiator, and a wise arbitrator. Her words are always positive words that bring healing and reconciliation. My Prayer: Jesus, I thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit and power. I am blessedwith the Holy Spirit that dwells in me equipping me with His power gifts to overcomeproblems. I receive the power gifts in Galatians 5. The word of knowledge, wisdom, the gift of faith, miracles, prophecy, and discernment. They are all mine through the power of the Holy Spirit that is at work in me. I surrender to your power and presence to be used as a peacemaker for the Holy Spirit.
I am so excited. I have been writing about the Beatitudes because my goal is that it's easily understood by you. It is happiness, favor and blessing. What has God been speaking to you about living happy, favored or blessed? Please comment below.Love you,Tami McKinney
