Encourage Change NOW
1 Cor 12:26 NIV If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
We are all hurt by the recent events in our nation. We know your heart is like ours - wanting to see our communities healed.
We are thankful for a church of caring women. You are women who understand the pain of others. Our hope is that we would grow closer as we walk through this together.
Many of you have asked what we will be doing to encourage change. Here are four things we are encouraging us all to do during this season.
One: Stay connected and share in our friends groups how you are feeling and what you have personally experienced. Communication builds a relationship of valuing each other. Sharing and listening brings understanding and healing. We all got hurt in a group of people and we all get healed in a group of people. A friends group is a place to heal. Make your friends group a safe place to share your story and feelings and reserving judgment.
Two: Spend some time together with friends talking to Jesus. Ask Jesus for revival in our communities to replace the hurt with peace and love. Jesus is a miracle worker for all humanity. Jesus will come where He is invited and do the impossible. We can trust Jesus with all our problems. Pray we would all have HIS love for others.
Three: We are giving financially as a church to help black youth in our community. We believe together we can make a difference.
Four: We encourage you to look to the scriptures for strength, comfort and direction. Make it a daily habit to receive strength from reading your Bible it will help guide you through this difficult season. And you will be able to encourage and strengthen your friends and family.
2 Corinthians 1:8-11 MSG All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.
...your prayers played such a crucial part.
Join us in a prayer: Jesus - we know you can help! Heal broken hearts, Lord. Would you give us compassion to love like never before. You are the God of the impossible- so do a miracle now- Lord would you bring unity to our church, our city and nation. We ask that you would give us a new revelation of the love of Jesus. We intercede for salvation to hit our land! God come and save! God come and heal! God help us to have the strength to persevere. We know that you are for us! If God is for us- who can be against us! Thank you Jesus for hearing our prayers. We thank God for sending help in our time of great need. In Jesus’ name! Amen
We love you,
from your Pastors Tami, Kristine, Julia, Gaby and Jenny
