Living Happy - Part 1

Are you unhappy? We have all faced hardship and unhappiness.I was so unhappy the day my two year old son passed away from a terminal lung illness. I was broken. I cried every night for a year. I thought I would never be happy again. Until I heard Jesus tell me, He would show me the path to happiness.

Jesus wants you to be happy.

He teaches us how to obtain happiness. No matter what pain, frustration or hurt we have endured, we can be happy again! In Matthew 5, Jesus preached on LIVING HAPPY. This message is called the Beatitudes. The word beatitudes just means happy. Jesus gave us nine Beatitudes or you can say 9 ways to live happy.God is concerned about you being happy in this life. Jesus knows your happiness is key to living successful and fulfilled. If we follow the 9 Beatitudes you will see that God says we will be happy and blessed.

 9 Ways to  Live Happy:

(Inspired by Beatitudes in Matthew 5)

1) Matthew 5:4 Happy are the humble.

Learn: A humble woman will always be happy, favored and blessed. Because she places others above herself, she will be happy.Memorize: Phil. 2:3, "...in humility value others above yourselves."Pray: Holy Spirit, whenever I am around people, help me to treat them better than myself. I want to be like Jesus, humble. I know that it will bring me happiness.

2) Matthew 5:5 Happy are they that cry out in prayer.

Learn: A woman who cries out to God in prayer will be extra happy. Her prayers will be answered because of her deep trust in Jesus. She will be happy.Memorize: Ps. 34:17, "Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you."Pray: Holy Spirit, when I face problems, remind me to cry out to you for answers and not to give up or get discouraged. Jesus prayed in difficulty and I can pray my way through problems. I trust in you to take care of me. This is the pathway to happiness.

3) Matthew 5:6 Happy are you, when you are not easily angered.

Learn: Happy and blessed is the woman who is untroubled and not easily angered when Dealing With Difficult People because she shows kindness and love to her enemies. She will be happy.Memorize: 2 Cor. 10:1, "I am meek (not easily angered) but strong."Pray: Holy Spirit, I will not be easily angered by those you put around me. I will be like Jesus and show love and patience to negative people and circumstances. I live happy.
