Dream Big
LIVE BIG DREAMS
God wants you to dream and dream big! You were created to dream and to fulfill those dreams!
Ephesians 3:20 ISV: Now to the one who can do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine…
God wants to use us to fulfill his dream. Think about this for a minute: God designed you with a purpose - His purpose. You were created perfectly to fulfill a God given purpose. You were given talents, skills, abilities, finances, a neighborhood, education, difficulties, looks, body shape, skin color and family members all to develop you into the perfect person to fulfill your God given purpose.
Everything in your life good or bad was allowed by God to design you into the perfect YOU. Romans 8:28 says that all things work together for good to those who love God and called according to his purpose. Ultimately God is in control of your life not the devil or another person. We learn this from Job’s life - a godly man in the Bible.
Job was a wealthy man with every dream of his life being fulfilled. He had influence, wealth, a close family, friends and a deep relationship with God. Job was a good man filled with faith in God. Job was so good that the devil asked God if he could test Job’s faith and goodness. God agreed to the devil’s request and gave Satan permission to test Job’s love for God. The devil then stole all Job’s cattle, sheep, camels, donkeys, oxen, his fields and homes were all burned up in a fire, his ten children were killed in a storm and to add to his suffering covered Job’s body with painful sores. In the face of all these problems Job says to his wife and friends in Job 2:10, "Should we receive what is good from God, and not also receive what is evil?" In all this Job did not sin by what he said.
And in Job 1:22 the Bible tells us that in spite of everything, Job did not sin or accuse God of doing wrong. The good news is Job’s story concludes with him receiving double in return for everything he had lost. Just like Job - God has an incredible purpose for our life.
Job understood his life’s dream was smaller than God’s big dream for his life. God has a big dream for us, if we can surrender our talents, time, and treasure to God’s dream and endure the hardships that builds our character - we can become a testimony of a life lived for Jesus. We can live big dreams in God. God wants you to dream and dream big!
